Executive Director, Lucia Meloni
Lucia Meloni has been the executive director and licensed practical nurse at Pinewood Acres since October 1999. She has been instrumental in leading residents and their family through transitioning stages in the assisted living community.
She is a three-time recipient of the “Nurse of The Year” award for her exemplary service and care in the state of Louisiana through the Louisiana Assisted Living Association. She is a volunteer for the state of Louisiana's Department of Human Services Aging Services Division Ombudsman Program.
With innovative insights, she brings out the best in senior planning and care while protecting, promoting and improving the health of residents in the assisted living community.
Her voice has been heard by state officials at the Louisiana State Capital for her moral belief in protecting and raising awareness in the senior community.
She is adamant in adhering and following regulatory and standard practices, protecting resident rights and providing the highest quality of care. Her vision is to make a difference in the lives of others and to treat others as you would want to be treated with the utmost respect and dignity.
